On the 4th (local time), Trump criticized China's response strongly, saying on his social media (SNS), "They are flustered, and this is the only thing they cannot handle." He continued, "They are playing it wrong."
In another post, he stated that despite the sharp drop in the New York stock market following the mutual tariff measures, "My policies will never change," and noted, "Now is a great opportunity to get rich." He expressed his determination to maintain policy direction despite market volatility, mentioning investors looking to make large investments in the U.S.
Meanwhile, regarding the U.S. non-farm employment data for March released that day, which exceeded market expectations, Trump emphasized, "A much better number than expected. The policies are already showing results. Take heart. We cannot lose."
