According to Forbes' announcement on 2nd (local time), Musk's asset this year reached $342 billion (approximately 500 trillion won), which is an increase of $147 billion compared to the previous year, placing him at the top of the global wealth ranking.

Although Tesla's stock price has adjusted this year, it remains significantly higher compared to a year ago. Additionally, the increase in value of private companies where Musk holds equity, such as SpaceX, has also contributed.

Previously, Musk ranked first in the Forbes billionaire list in 2022. However, he had to settle for second place, being surpassed by Bernard Arnault and his family of LVMH in 2023 and 2024.

This year, the second richest person is Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook. Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, ranked third. The Arnault family, which was first last year, has dropped to fifth place behind Larry Ellison, chairman of Oracle, who is ranked fourth.

In Korea, Cho Jung-ho, chairman of Meriz Financial Group, ranked 361st with an asset of $8.4 billion (approximately 12.3 trillion won). Lee Jae-young, chairman of Samsung Electronics, came in 369th with an asset of $8.2 billion (approximately 12 trillion won), while Seo Jeong-jin, chairman of Celltrion, ranked 464th with an asset of $7.1 billion (approximately 10.4 trillion won).
