Donald Trump, the President of the United States, said he plans to have a call with Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, sometime this week. President Trump expressed dissatisfaction with the situation where Russia does not agree to a ceasefire in the Ukraine war, warning that he may impose a tariff on Russian crude oil exports.

According to NBC News, President Trump said during a phone interview with the network on the 30th (local time) that in a scenario where there is no peace agreement in the Russia-Ukraine war, “If I believe it is Russia’s fault, I will impose a secondary tariff on all crude oil coming from Russia.”

President Trump explained, “If you buy crude oil from Russia, you will not be able to do business in the United States,” adding, “I will impose a 25% tariff on all crude oil. It will be imposed from 25% to 50%.”
