“Donald Trump is a better leader than during his first term. The country (the U.S.) will benefit.”

Suzy Wiles (67), the first White House Deputy Minister in U.S. history, praised Trump on the 29th (local time) during an appearance on "My View with Lara Trump," a show broadcasted on Fox News. Deputy Minister Wiles noted, "He has gone through a lot. There were lawsuits (related to four criminal charges), he played a leadership role in the free world during his first term, and he experienced assassination attempts," adding that he is "a different person than before."

Deputy Minister Wiles, a former head of Trump’s joint campaign committee, is categorized as a typical loyalist who provides cold and calculated advice, to the extent that Trump calls her "the ice maiden." Despite her influence, Deputy Minister Wiles is known for usually not giving interviews to the media. On the morning of Nov. 6 last year, after Trump secured the presidency, he was on stage asking core personnel to mention her name seven times, but she ultimately declined the request. However, she made her first media appearance since taking office as Deputy Minister in January when she participated in a program hosted by Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump.

Deputy Minister Wiles stated, "I have been with him (Trump) for a long time so we maintain a pretty good and comfortable relationship, but that doesn’t mean I am not a bit nervous every morning. That is what he deserves, and that is what our country deserves," showing her respect for Trump.

Deputy Minister Wiles first became involved with Trump in August 2015. When asked if she remembers her first meeting with Trump, she replied, "Of course," stating it was at Trump Tower in New York. During the 2016 presidential election, Wiles helped Trump win the Florida primary and paved the way for his entry into the White House. Trump, who aimed for reelection in the 2020 presidential election, brought back Deputy Minister Wiles.

When asked by Wiles about the most difficult thing to talk to Trump about over the years, she pointed to the 2020 presidential election when Trump was defeated by former President Joe Biden. Wiles stated, "In 2021, after the 2020 election, I went to him and told him that the situation he thought wasn't quite accurate." This was the most challenging time for her as Trump believed the election results were manipulated and refused to concede. Wiles continued, "He asked me, 'Can you fix this (Trump’s loss)?' and that’s how I got involved in all of this." Wiles further remarked, "He is a very resilient person, and he has seen a lot; it is very hard to surprise him."

Regarding Trump's second term administration, Wiles mentioned that only the task of running forward remains. She remarked, "Trump has had four years to think about the agenda he will pursue when he returns to office since the end of his first term. Trump is ready to run vigorously from the start." She added, "My job is only to ensure that the train on the tracks runs on time, so the president and vice president can do what is necessary for the country."

Meanwhile, regarding being the first woman to become White House Deputy Minister, Wiles said, "I didn’t expect the president to ask me to be Deputy Minister," adding, "While I didn’t have doubts about accepting, it wouldn’t be human to say I had no fear." Nevertheless, she stated, "I’m just going to keep doing what I believe is right," emphasizing her commitment to working hard as much as she can and that it has served her well.
