The Israeli military, which resumed airstrikes against the Palestinian armed group Hamas, issued an evacuation order in the Tel Sultan area of the southern Gaza city of Rafah on the morning of the 23rd (local time).

On this day, the Israeli military stated through its X (formerly Twitter) Arabic account, "The Israeli military has begun its offensive against the terrorist organization, and this area is a dangerous combat zone," advising Tel Sultan residents to evacuate via designated routes.

They also warned, "Staying in shelters, tents, or homes, or moving along unspecified paths will put you and your family's lives at risk."

Meanwhile, foreign media outlets such as Al Jazeera and BBC reported that at least 23 people, including senior Hamas official and Palestinian parliament member Salah al-Badawi and his wife, were killed during the Israeli military's airstrikes on Khan Younis in southern Gaza early that morning.

As discussions for an extension of the ceasefire, which expired on the 1st of this month, have faced difficulties, the Israeli military resumed large-scale airstrikes in Gaza on the 18th. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, at least 700 residents, including 200 children, have died in Gaza since the 18th.
