Hamas has conducted the fourth hostage release in accordance with the truce agreement with Israel.
According to foreign reports including AP and Reuters on the 1st, the Palestinian armed group Hamas handed over three hostages to the Red Cross this morning in Khan Younis and Gaza City.
The released hostages are Yarden Vivas (35), French-Israeli Ofer Calderon (54), and American-Israeli Keith Siegel (65).
The Red Cross has started the process of transporting the hostages, and Israel plans to release 90 Palestinian prisoners from its prisons if they return safely.
This is the fourth hostage release by Hamas. Following the truce agreement on the 19th of last month, in the first stage of the 6-week (42-day) truce, Hamas agreed to release 33 hostages, while Israel would release 1,904 prisoners.
Following the release of seven Israeli hostages and 290 Palestinian prisoners in two phases, eight hostages were released on the 30th, and Israel freed 110 Palestinian prisoners.
Meanwhile, Hamas intensified its promotion efforts by sequentially arranging hostages on a special stage to wave at the crowd.
