Ukrainian forces reported on the situation of the North Korean soldiers captured at the Russian Kursk front and their subsequent living conditions.
Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported on the 21st (local time) on the process of capturing a wounded North Korean soldier, citing a video posted by members of the Ukrainian Army's 95th Airborne Brigade on their Telegram channel.
A paratrooper whose call sign is 'Grandfather' initially thought the North Korean soldiers were Ukrainian soldiers but noted that their appearance was different and that they did not respond when spoken to in Russian, English, or Ukrainian.
According to the Ukrainian military, this soldier was armed with weapons such as grenades and a knife and was carrying sausages as food. The 95th Airborne Brigade stated that the North Korean soldiers received medical and food assistance from the Ukrainian military after their capture.
He also asked to play a movie with a love story but then demanded to switch to a Korean film, claiming he did not understand Ukrainian. RFA reported that the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces are working to confirm the identity of the North Korean soldiers.
