U.S. President-elect Donald Trump met with President Joe Biden and his wife on the 20th (local time) ahead of the inauguration.
The Trumps, who attended a service at St. John's Church, known as 'the President's Church,' behind the White House, arrived at the White House by car at around 9:54 a.m.
President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden awaited the Trumps at the entrance of the White House.
When the Trumps got out of the car, President Biden said, 'Welcome home.' The Bidens and the Trumps then embraced and exchanged greetings before standing together for a commemorative photo.
Afterward, they entered the White House and enjoyed tea while chatting. The two couples are scheduled to move to the Capitol for the inauguration ceremony afterward.
The inauguration ceremony is expected to begin around 11:30 a.m., and President Trump's term will start at noon on that day (2 a.m. on the 21st in Korean time).
