In an interview released on 14th (local time) with a podcast, Ivanka Trump noted, "I like policy and the impact it has, but I dislike politics. Unfortunately, the two (policy and politics) cannot be separated," according to reports by U.S. media outlets including The Hill on the 16th.

She added, "There is a darkness in this world (politics) that I really do not want to accept," reflecting on her experience of having to juggle government work and childcare during Trump's first term.

Ivanka Trump explained, "The main reason I am not looking to return to public office now is because I know the expense that will need to be incurred," adding, "That is a cost I do not want my children to bear."

Previously, Ivanka Trump led the Office of Economic Initiatives and Entrepreneurship under the White House, which was established alongside her role as an advisor. She played a "substantive" role alongside her husband, Jared Kushner.
