The Ministry of SMEs and Startups said on the 14th that, together with the Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KOTEC) and the Venture Business Association, it will hold the "2026 Unicorn Bridge 1 Trillion Club first forum" at the SVC Seoul Networking Hall in Mapo District, Seoul.
Unicorn Bridge is a program that identifies potential unicorns with innovation and growth potential and nurtures them into corporations with global competitiveness. The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) created it this year and supports stage-by-stage programs for the 50 selected corporations, including global investment attraction, entry into public markets, establishing overseas branches, and the 1 Trillion Club.
The forum will be held on the 15th. It was prepared to share the experiences of senior corporations that grew into unicorns and "100 billion won ventures" to reduce trial and error for participating corporations and to identify new business cooperation opportunities. The event consists of a keynote speech introducing the growth strategies of senior venture corporations and a panel discussion.
In the first keynote, "Moments of growth," Galaxy Corporation Executive Vice President Yun Sang-bo will introduce the company's key growth trajectory and experiences on the way to becoming a unicorn. Next, Kwon Won-sang, head of division at Maymust, will share experiences on connecting technology to business and revenue and scaling business size under the theme "From startup to scale-up corporations."
In the panel discussion, "Decisions that make 1 trillion—beyond the wall of growth, to the next unicorn," entrepreneurs and investment experts at different growth stages will discuss the main challenges in the corporate growth process.
Executive Vice President Yun and Head of Division Kwon will be joined on the panel by Jeong Min-seon, chief financial officer (CFO) of Rsquare, a participating Unicorn Bridge corporation; Hong Young-seok, head of Sage; and Dr. Lee Min-gu, managing partner at U.S. venture capital Cleveland Avenue.
They plan to address, from on-the-ground corporate experience and investor perspectives, crisis response and business pivots, organizational and operational changes needed for scale-ups, methods of connecting technology to customers and revenue, and preparations needed for entry into global markets.
After the official sessions end, a networking event will be held where Unicorn Bridge participating corporations, senior corporations, and investors will discuss discovering new customers, building partnerships, and the potential for joint commercialization.
A Venture Business Association official said, "Because there is no fixed formula for the journey to becoming a unicorn, the crisis-overcoming experiences and vivid advice of senior corporations that have walked the path first will be the greatest asset for aspiring unicorns."
