Kiturami said on the 14th it will launch the "2027 Kiturami third-generation carbon mat AI ondol," which determines a user's sleep temperature and in-sleep habits to provide a customized deep-sleep environment.
The core of the new product is "AI mode," which analyzes the user's sleep pattern and automatically adjusts temperature and heating time. It activates when the AI button in the center of the smart remote is pressed for 3 seconds, and it learns the user's preferred sleep temperature and usage time to automatically control the mat temperature during sleep.
It also applies a function that reduces heating when the user leaves the bed and returns to the previous setting upon coming back. The "AI Cheokcheok temperature system" detects whether the user has left or returned to the mat to cut unnecessary heating and continues the existing AI mode without separate remote control operations.
Kiturami completed tests at the Korea Testing Certification Institute (KTC) on sleep-appropriate temperature and sleep time calculations in AI mode and on the accuracy of detecting user departure and return, verifying the reliability of the related functions.
In general heating mode, the temperature can be adjusted from 25–50℃ in 1℃ increments, and it also offers a sleep mode that keeps 33℃ for 9 hours and a three-level thermal therapy mode that can be set to 45, 50, or 55℃.
The heating wire uses a patented "aramid carbon heating wire." It uses aramid fiber, which is five times stronger than steel, and its durability was confirmed through 800,000 bending tests.
Power consumption is 160W, and if used 8 hours a day for a month, the monthly electricity bill is in the 6,900 won range. Using the proprietary "eco mode" can further cut power use by 13% compared with general heating.
For the fabric that touches the skin directly, a blend of Tencel fabric from Austria's Lenzing and Aerosilver fabric was applied. It obtained washable certification for up to five washes, passed suitability tests for children's textile products, and met domestic safety standards related to radon and thoron.
