Nexen Tire(002350) said on the 7th that it will supply original equipment tires (OE) for Hyundai Motor's compact sedan "The All-new Avante."
The All-new Avante has been newly released after undergoing a full change for the 8th generation. Nexen Tire plans to sequentially supply different products tailored to the climate and road conditions of each region where the Avante is sold, starting with this supply.
In Korea and North America, where the four seasons are distinct, 16-inch and 18-inch "N'Fera S" tires are fitted. N'Fera S applies the "3D kerf" technology, a fine groove, designed to let the tire grip the road surface more tightly even on snowy roads. This allows stable handling and braking in winter. It also disperses noise generated while the tire rolls to deliver a quieter ride. Another feature is a special compound that improves both fuel efficiency and wear resistance.
In Europe, where summer tires are common, the 16-inch "N'Blue S" is applied. N'Blue S features optimized grooves that contact the road and sipes—slender grooves that quickly channel away water—for stable braking and handling on wet surfaces.
In the Middle East, where high temperatures and long-distance driving are common, the 16-inch N'Blue S and the 18-inch "N'Fera Primus" are supplied. N'Fera Primus has enhanced wear performance, making it suitable for long-distance driving.
