The Korea Automobile Journalists Association said on Sept. 4 that it selected Polestar's midsize electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) "Polestar 3" as the car of September.
The car of the year selection committee under the Korea Automobile Journalists Association conducts evaluations of new cars and facelift models released from the 1st to the last day of each month and releases the "car of the month."
Among the new cars unveiled in the previous month, ▲ Mercedes-Benz "The New S-Class" ▲ Volvo "EX90" ▲ Polestar "Polestar 3" ▲ Hyundai Motor "The All New Avante" were nominated for the car of September, and Polestar 3 was ultimately selected with 54.3 points out of a possible 70.
Polestar 3 received 8.3 points out of 10 in design and perceived quality, and in driving performance and energy efficiency. It scored 8 points in safety and advanced driving technology, and in overall product appeal and purchase attractiveness. It earned 7.7 points in space utilization and practicality, and in price competitiveness and product value.
Won Sun-ung, chair of the car of the year selection committee, said, "Polestar 3 is a flagship large electric performance SUV that combines powerful driving performance capable of easily handling track driving with excellent aerodynamic design," adding, "It proves both outstanding quietness and high limit performance on the track, making a clear statement in the premium electric SUV market."
