Mercedes-Benz Korea (Benz Korea) said on the 1st it is unveiling the new model of the CLA, a compact sedan, called "The all-new CLA," and opening preorders for the electric models.
The new CLA uses the next-generation Modular Mercedes Architecture (MMA) that Mercedes-Benz has adopted since last year. It supports internal-combustion drivetrains combined with either pure electric or a 48V mild-hybrid system.
The MBUX infotainment system and MBUX Superscreen based on the new MB.OS vehicle operating system are also applied. MB.Drive Assist, an MB.OS-based driving assistance system, is included.
Benz Korea will first launch two pure EV models—the CLA 200 Electric and CLA 250+ Electric—in five trims for preorder. Prices range from 52.9 million to 67.7 million won.
The CLA 200 Electric and CLA 250+ Electric deliver maximum outputs of 165 kW (221 horsepower) and 200 kW (268 horsepower), respectively, with maximum ranges of 542 km and 792 km under the European WLTP standard.
Both EVs feature an 800V fast-charging system. The CLA 200 Electric supports up to 200 kW fast charging, and the CLA 250+ Electric supports 320 kW. Charging from 10% to 80% takes 20 minutes and 22 minutes, respectively.
The CLA 220, an internal-combustion model with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, will be released in two trims and go on sale this month. Prices range from 59.9 million to 62.9 million won.
Preorders for the all-new electric CLA can be made at 65 official Mercedes-Benz dealerships nationwide and on the preorder page of the Mercedes-Benz Korea official website.
