Asiana Airlines(020560) said on the 1st that it launched a new route between Incheon and Kobe, Japan.
The Incheon-Kobe route operates daily. It departs Incheon International Airport at 12 p.m. and arrives at Kobe Airport at 2 p.m. The return flight departs Kobe Airport at 3 p.m. and arrives at Incheon International Airport at 5 p.m.
The aircraft type is the Asiana Airlines short-haul flagship next-generation aircraft, the "Airbus A321NEO."
Kobe is known for its beautiful natural scenery, exotic urban atmosphere, and cuisine. It has "Arima Onsen," one of Japan's three great ancient hot springs, and "Himeji Castle," the first site in Japan to be listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site, is also near Kobe. "Kobe beef" steak and "Kobe pudding" are also famous.
An Asiana Airlines official said, "With the launch of the new Kobe route, a popular travel destination, travelers to the Kansai region can now put together more diverse and convenient itineraries," and added, "We will strengthen competitiveness on Korea-Japan routes through stable operations and differentiated service on the newly opened Kobe route."
