Hanwha Ocean won an order for three very large gas carriers (VLGCs) from a shipowner based in Oceania.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 1st, Hanwha Ocean disclosed that it won an order for three VLGCs worth 477.8 billion won from a shipowner in the Oceania region. The contract amount is about 3.7% of recent sales.
The vessels ordered this time are scheduled for delivery in Dec. 2030.
According to Hanwha Ocean, the cumulative orders this year total 32 ships, about $5.94 billion.
By ship type, they include 17 very large crude carriers (VLCCs), six liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, three very large ammonia carriers (VLACs), one wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV), and one special-purpose ship.
