Healthcare robot corporations Bodyfriend unveiled a healthcare robot that applies a "Generative AI massage" technology that directly creates and runs personalized massages through conversations between the user and the device.
Bodyfriend said on the 1st that it released two models, "Quantum AI Pro" and "Da Vinci AI Pro," equipped with Generative AI massage technology.
The product applies Generative AI based on a large language model (LLM) that understands and reasons with natural language. When a user speaks about their condition or desired massage, the AI analyzes the user's condition, intent, and situation in real time based on the conversation to generate and run a personalized massage.
While existing AI healthcare robots recommended a suitable program from preset massage programs, this product generates a new massage program each time based on the user's utterance.
Bodyfriend's self-developed Generative AI massage technology combines body parts and massage duration based on 134 foundational massage blocks. This can theoretically generate a variety of massage programs numbering in the trillions or more. The more interactions between the user and the device, the more the system reflects usage patterns, habits, and preferences to further personalize the massage experience.
For example, if the user calls out "Hey Body" or "Buddy" and then says "I feel lonely today," the AI massage assistant is summoned and responds, "Shall I run the 'mind comfort' massage mode, or would you like me to generate a custom massage?" During a massage, if the user says, "Hey Body, it really hurts right now," the AI can respond, "You're in a lot of pain. I'll lower the intensity by one level," and adjust the massage intensity in real time.
Up to 30 generated AI massage programs are saved automatically. Among these, programs with high satisfaction can be saved separately as favorites, up to 12. It also applies an "AI scream detection stop" function that automatically halts operation when it detects a person's scream.
The specialized features of the existing Quantum AI and Da Vinci AI are also retained. Quantum AI Pro allows users to care for facial skin and the scalp through the healthcare robot without a separate beauty device. Da Vinci AI Pro checks the user's condition based on a fatigue index measured using a PPG sensor. In particular, Da Vinci AI Pro expands its capabilities to the stage of generating and running a massage suitable for the user based on the measured fatigue index.
A Bodyfriend official said, "Through Quantum AI Pro and Da Vinci AI Pro, which integrate AI, Robotics, and Digital Healthcare technologies, we will continue to expand an 'ultra-personalized healthcare experience' optimized for each individual user."
