Volvo Car Korea said on the 31st that preorders for the new large electric flagship sedan ES90 have topped 3,000.
Volvo Car Korea began preorders along with the vehicle's Korea launch at the end of July. The feat of surpassing 3,000 units is a success achieved in about a month.
Deliveries of the ES90 to customers will begin next month, starting with the twin-motor model. The twin-motor model is equipped with a 106 kWh battery. Its combined range per charge at normal temperatures is 520 km. Its low-temperature range is 469 km.
It also features an 800V high-voltage system, enabling 300 km of driving with 10 minutes of 350 kW fast charging. Charging from 10% to 80% takes 22 minutes.
The price is in the 70 million won range, about 50 million won cheaper than in the European market. Based on Seoul, buyers are expected to receive up to 2.13 million won (single motor) to 2.2 million won (twin motor) in subsidies. With subsidies applied, the price is 70.81 million won.
