KG Group changed the corporate name of the directly managed used-car platform K Car(381970) to "KG Mobility Platform" and moved to strengthen competitiveness in the mobility business.
KG Group held a ceremony on the 29th at KBS Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to mark its 41st anniversary and announced the official launch of KG Mobility Platform. KG Mobility Platform is the corporate name of K Car, which was recently acquired, and the brand name will remain K Car.
KG Group Chairman Gwak Jae-seon placed the gold-embossed nameplate of KG Mobility Platform into the group family companies' nameplate case and presented the company flag, formalizing its start as a new member of KG Group.
With this launch, KG Group plans to pool its capabilities in mobility software and platforms, including automobile manufacturing, and further strengthen the competitiveness of the group's mobility business through collaboration among family companies. In addition, based on its accumulated technology and business capabilities, it plans to actively seek new growth opportunities in the global market.
On the day, KG Group selected Baek Min-jae, managing director at KG Chemical, as the recipient of the group's highest honor, the "2026 Proud KG Award." Baek was recognized for leading sustained growth in the materials and environmental business despite difficult internal and external management conditions. Seonhyun Foundation, KG Group's scholarship foundation, delivered scholarship certificates and grants to 10 children of firefighting heroes.
