Jeju Air(089590) said on the 26th that it will launch a new route to Guilin, China, starting on the 23rd of next month. The route will connect Busan Gimhae International Airport with Guilin Liangjiang International Airport in China and operate four times a week.
The outbound flight departs at 9:45 p.m., and the return flight departs at 1:35 a.m. Starting Oct. 25, when the winter schedule begins, the outbound flight will depart at 9:40 p.m., and the return flight will depart at 1:45 a.m.
Guilin, which means a forest of osmanthus trees, is one of China's representative landscape destinations, famed for scenery shaped by karst terrain formed as limestone and other soluble rock plateaus are eroded by rainwater.
Jeju Air will operate 12 routes to China with the launch of the new Guilin service, including Qingdao, Yanji, Weihai, Harbin, Jiamusi, Shijiazhuang, Shanghai, Zhangjiajie, and Beijing. Jeju Air is reviewing increasing frequencies and launching service within the year on the Busan/Daegu–Shanghai and Jeju–Chengdu/Chongqing routes obtained in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 2026 international air traffic rights allocation in April.
