SK intellix's wellness robot "NAMUHX" won the IR52 Jang Young-shil Award, Korea's most prestigious industrial technology prize.
SK intellix said on the 26th that NAMUHX was selected as an IR52 Jang Young-shil Award-winning product in recognition of its achievement in innovating everyday health and convenience based on advanced artificial intelligence (AI) and Robotics technology.
The IR52 Jang Young-shil Award is an industrial technology prize hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Industrial Technology Association, and since 1991 it has discovered and honored outstanding new technologies and technological innovation achievements that have contributed to Korea's industrial development.
At the awards ceremony held on the 25th at the Peace & Park Convention in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, SK intellix Production and Quality Division Head Im Tae-bin, AX Tech Head Ryu Gi-cheol, and Production Head Ko Gi-young, who led the development of NAMUHX, attended and received the honor.
NAMUHX is a wellness robot that combines AI and Robotics to autonomously recognize the user's living space and manage health and safety. Notably, beyond simple convenience features, it integrates air quality management, voice interaction, health measurement, and safety management into a single device.
An SK intellix official said, "This Jang Young-shil Award win once again confirms NAMUHX's innovative technological prowess," and added, "We will advance wellness Robotics technology and leap forward as a global AI wellness platform corporations."
