T'way Air said on the 25th that it recorded an average load factor of 90% on all international routes in the first half of this year.
Of T'way Air's roughly 5.6 million total passengers in the first half of this year, about 3.8 million were international passengers, up about 12% from the same period a year earlier (about 3.38 million).
A T'way Air official said, "From short and medium-haul routes to Japan, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan to long-haul routes to major European cities, Sydney in Australia, and Vancouver in Canada, steady demand has continued, leading to solid performance across international routes."
The most popular routes by month in the first half were: ▲ January Cheongju–Fukuoka, Daegu–Fukuoka ▲ February Cheongju–Osaka, Cheongju–Fukuoka ▲ March Incheon–Boracay, Incheon–Nha Trang ▲ April Incheon–Bangkok, Incheon–Sapporo, Gimpo–Songshan (Taipei) ▲ May Daegu–Fukuoka ▲ June Incheon–Bangkok, Incheon–Sapporo. These routes recorded an average load factor of 96%.
Load factors on long-haul routes were also stable. For European routes, the average load factors were ▲ Paris 87% ▲ Rome 89% ▲ Barcelona 91% ▲ Frankfurt 85%.
A T'way Air official said, "In the second half, we plan to expand travel choices and maintain stable operations by managing routes in line with regional and seasonal travel demand and market conditions."
