The Korea SMEs & Startups Distribution & Marketing Agency under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups said on the 24th that it will hold a "Chuseok holiday special exhibition" on the "Win-Win Growth Mall" to mark Chuseok.
The agency has operated the "Win-Win Growth Mall," an online welfare mall exclusively for small and micro business owners, since 2018 to support small and medium-sized enterprises' sales channels. The mall currently offers about 200,000 outstanding products from roughly 3,000 small and medium-sized companies. Employees of public institutions, large companies, and others that have adopted it can purchase products using individually allotted welfare points.
The special sale runs from today through Oct. 18. It offers 216 sets, including gift sets of Korean pork and premium Korean beef, known as hanwoo; ceremonial fruit sets such as apples and pears; and seafood sets such as anchovies and gim (dried seaweed).
Lee Tae-sik, president and CEO of the agency, said, "With the recent economic downturn and high inflation, small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners are facing many difficulties, and their expectations for consumption during the upcoming national holiday, Chuseok, are high," adding, "We hope this special sale will boost sales of outstanding small and medium-sized enterprise products so that it becomes a holiday when everyone can smile together."
