HD Hyundai Heavy Industries said on the 24th that it won an order worth 515.4 billion won for four liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers from a shipping company in Oceania.
The size of the contract is equivalent to 2.93% of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' recent sales of 17.5806 trillion won. The vessels ordered this time are scheduled to be delivered to the shipping company by Mar. 31, 2030.
According to HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, including this order, the cumulative total so far is 162 ships and $18.08 billion (about 24.9323 trillion won).
HD Hyundai Heavy Industries said it has achieved 77.6% of its annual order target of $23.31 billion.
By ship type, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries won orders for 17 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, 30 container ships, 50 LPG, ammonia and liquefied carbon dioxide carriers, 11 crude oil tankers, 50 petroleum product carriers (PC ships), two car carriers (PCTCs), and two others (icebreakers and floating storage and regasification units).
