The value of LS Electric's contract to supply power equipment for an artificial intelligence (AI) data center, awarded by a U.S. big tech corporations, more than doubled in two months.
LS Electric said in a revised filing on the 24th that it signed a $165.72 million (about 230.9 billion won) contract to supply power equipment for an AI data center to a U.S. big tech corporations.
The contract expands on a $70.43 million (about 106.4 billion won) deal signed on June for a 38-kilovolt (kV) high-voltage power distribution system. The contract period runs from June 8, the original contract date, to Jan. 30, 2027.
LS Electric said, "The additional order from the big tech corporations increased the contract value by more than double, meeting the disclosure threshold." The disclosure threshold for LS Electric's single sales and supply contracts is 124.1 billion won, or 2.5% of consolidated sales for 2025.
LS Electric said, "This additional order was based on the strong trust built by successfully delivering power distribution systems under the earlier data center infrastructure supply contract," adding, "We met the stringent quality standards and short delivery timelines of global big tech corporations, earning recognition for our technology and execution."
