HD Hyundai Electric(267260) said on the 21st it will take part in the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE) Paris Session 2026, which will be held in Paris, France, for six days starting on the 23rd.
The biennial CIGRE Paris Session is the world's largest power grid expo, continuing for more than 100 years since 1921. The 2024 event drew more than 11,200 power industry officials from 99 countries.
HD Hyundai Electric plans to showcase 72.5kV (kilovolt) and 145kV eco-friendly gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), along with the recently tested 420kV eco-friendly GIS "GREENTRIC 550SRE," at this exhibition.
Recently, the European Union (EU) has tightened regulations on fluorinated greenhouse gases and is gradually restricting the use of gases with high global warming potential, such as sulfur hexafluoride (SF6).
HD Hyundai Electric also plans to hold a networking event on the Seine during the exhibition. The company aims to share its vision for future power grids with power industry officials and seek cooperation opportunities.
An HD Hyundai Electric official said, "This exhibition is an opportunity to showcase HD Hyundai Electric's SF6-free GIS lineup and its competitive edge in eco-friendly power technologies to major European customers," adding, "We will actively respond to the demand for an eco-friendly transition of Europe's power grids and strengthen our competitiveness in the global market."
