Korean Air Lines(003490) said on the 19th that it will begin service on the Incheon–Melbourne route from Dec. 18 to March 14 next year.
The Incheon–Melbourne route will operate three times a week (Wed., Fri., Sun.). It will depart Incheon International Airport at 8 a.m. and arrive at Melbourne International Airport at 8:30 p.m. local time. The return flight will depart Melbourne International Airport at 10 p.m. the same day and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 7:35 a.m. the following day.
Korean Air Lines plans to further strengthen its competitiveness on Oceania routes through this Melbourne service. Melbourne is a major Australian city with a population of about 5.3 million. Korean Air Lines decided to deploy the Boeing 787-9 on this route.
