KG Mobility(003620) said on the 18th that it launched the KGM brand in the local market in cooperation with Myanmar Super Seven Stars (SSS) Group and unveiled its lineup of eco-friendly vehicles.
The brand launch event was held on the 14th in Yangon, Myanmar, with KGM Chairman Gwak Jae-seon and President Gwak Jeong-hyeon, SSS Group Chairman San Linn and President Salman Linn, and other officials in attendance.
At the event, KGM launched the KGM brand in the Myanmar market for the first time and introduced the Torres EVX, a midsize electric sport utility vehicle (SUV), and the Musso EV, an electric pickup truck.
SSS Group is Myanmar's first private automobile company and its largest conglomerate, operating industries including automobile sales, EV charging infrastructure, food, logistics and agriculture.
Starting with this launch, SSS Group plans to begin full-scale local production and sales of the Torres EVX and Musso EV,
and KGM plans to supply a total of 1,000 eco-friendly vehicles to the Myanmar market this year based on its strong cooperation with SSS Group.
KGM Chairman Gwak Jae-seon said, "We will grow and develop together in the Myanmar market through close cooperation with SSS Group so that we can be remembered as a car brand that Myanmar customers can trust and choose, and as an automaker that grows with its customers."
