Mini Korea said on the 18th it will take preorders for three versions of the "The Mini Cooper Paul Smith Edition," which is scheduled for an official launch in Oct.
The edition consists of three internal combustion models: The Mini Cooper C 3-door, 5-door and Convertible C. Mini and British fashion designer Paul Smith have, since their first collaboration in 1998, applied detailed designs such as distinctive colors to traditional styling.
The exterior colors are Midnight Black, Statement Grey and Inspired White. The 3-door and 5-door apply a dedicated color, "Nottingham Green," named after Paul Smith's hometown of Nottingham, to the roof and side mirror caps. The Convertible C pairs a black soft top with Nottingham Green mirror caps. All three models feature Paul Smith's "Signature Stripe" behind the B-pillar.
All three models are equipped with a TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder gasoline engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering a maximum output of 163 horsepower and peak torque of 25.5 kg·m. Production is limited to 150 units, and the first 50 customers by delivery date will receive a Paul Smith Boston bag.
Prices are 44.2 million–45.0 million won for the 3-door, 45.7 million–46.5 million won for the 5-door, and 50.0 million–50.7 million won for the Convertible C.
