Mini Korea said on the 13th that it officially launched the All-electric Mini Countryman, which enhances product appeal with a longer single-charge driving range and improved efficiency.
The All-electric Mini Countryman comes in two models, E and SE ALL4, and three trims: Classic, Favoured, and JCW. The total capacity of the high-voltage battery installed in both models is 66.5 kWh, the same as before, but the usable net capacity was expanded to 65.2 kWh through optimization of the battery management system and software.
Low-friction wheel bearings were applied to the front wheels to help them roll more smoothly, reducing rolling resistance. Aerodynamic performance across the body was optimized to achieve a drag coefficient of 0.26, further boosting energy efficiency.
Accordingly, the combined efficiency of the All-electric Mini Countryman E increased from 4.8 km per kW to 5.3 km. Its single-charge driving range also expanded by 32 km, from 349 km to 381 km. The electric motor mounted on the front axle delivers a maximum output of 204 horsepower and peak torque of 25.5 kg·m, and it takes 8.6 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 kph.
The All-electric Mini Countryman SE ALL4, which mounts electric motors on the front and rear axles, improved combined efficiency from 4.4 km per kW to 5.0 km and secured a single-charge driving range of 361 km, up 35 km from before. It delivers a maximum output of 313 horsepower and peak torque of 50.4 kg·m, with a 0-100 kph time of 5.6 seconds.
Starting with this model, a panoramic glass sunroof previously applied only to the SE ALL4 is standard on all models and trims. Domestic prices including VAT are 58.9 million won for the E Classic trim, 63.5 million won for the SE ALL4 Favoured trim, and 66.1 million won for the SE ALL4 JCW trim.
