CNPLUS(115530) will install Doosan Enerbility's 10-megawatt (MW) offshore wind turbine at the Yeonggwang demonstration complex in South Jeolla.
CNPLUS said on the 12th that it signed a contract with Doosan Enerbility for the "K-WIND 10MW installation work" within the Yeonggwang demonstration complex in South Jeolla. The contract amount is about 5.21116 billion won, including value-added taxes, and the work period runs through Dec. 31.
The installation target, Doosan Enerbility's 10MW-class offshore wind turbine "DS205-10MW," has a blade diameter of 205 meters and a total height of 230 meters. That corresponds to about the height of an 80-story apartment building. With a localization rate of more than 70% for parts, it is also regarded as a facility that symbolizes the revitalization of Korea's offshore wind supply chain.
With this order, CNPLUS is expected to secure a track record in constructing ultra-large offshore wind turbines and solidify its footing in the market.
A CNPLUS official said, "Taking on Doosan Enerbility's 10MW K-WIND installation work serves as an opportunity to solidify CNPLUS's construction competitiveness," adding, "based on the successful execution of the project, we will play a leading role in future domestic offshore wind installation work."
