CJ Logistics(000120) said on the 10th that it has designated the 14th–15th as "courier day off," and that about 20,000 CJ Logistics couriers nationwide will take a simultaneous break.
Accordingly, from the 13th, collection of short-term storage items such as fresh, refrigerated, and frozen foods will be suspended, and deliveries will gradually return to normal from the 16th. CJ Logistics informed client companies, local depots nationwide, and couriers of this schedule ahead of the courier day off operations.
Unlike individual courier vacations, the courier day off is a joint holiday system in which the industry rests together. It was introduced in 2020 through consultations between the government and the logistics industry, and CJ Logistics has participated for seven consecutive years from the first year of implementation through this year. The aim is for the entire industry, not a specific company or individual, to rest together so couriers can take time off without worrying about work gaps.
A CJ Logistics official said, "We thank our client companies and consumers for understanding the courier day off," and added, "We will continue to respect the industry's joint rest culture and make ongoing efforts to create an environment where couriers can work more healthily and stably."
