Bodyfriend said on the 10th it is officially launching the health functional food brand "Bodyfriend Healthcare" and releasing three products: "Muscle Fit Curcumin Gold," "Joint Fit Chondroitin Mucopolysaccharide Protein 1200," and "Slim Fit Diet Morosil VITA."
The move into the health functional food business is the first step to expand customers' health management based on healthcare usage data from about 1.6 million customers and their health interests. Based on this, Bodyfriend has divided modern people's major health concerns into six core areas—muscle strength, joints, body fat and blood sugar, sleep, eye health, and vitality—and plans to introduce related products.
Product packages feature one-syllable keywords such as "kkwak," "jjak," "ssok," "puk," "jaeng," and "bbum," which intuitively bring to mind the purpose and function of intake. The aim is to help consumers easily understand the functions and ingredients of health functional foods, which can feel complicated, and choose the products they need.
"Muscle Fit Curcumin Gold" uses a individually recognized turmeric extract by the Ministery of Food and Drug Safety as its main ingredient, which may help improve muscle strength. A patented nano-solubilized technology is applied to curcumin, and MSM, NAG, vitamin D3, seaweed calcium, and amino acids are blended as sub-ingredients.
"Joint Fit Chondroitin Mucopolysaccharide Protein 1200" contains 1,200 mg per daily serving of mucopolysaccharide and protein derived from bovine cartilage, which may help joint and cartilage health. It is formulated with vitamin D, vitamin K, and manganese to also support bone health.
"Slim Fit Diet Morosil VITA" contains Morosil®, which may help reduce body fat, and banaba leaf extract, which may help suppress post-meal blood sugar spikes. It is also blended with vitamin C, which has antioxidant effects, and eight types of B vitamins needed for energy production.
Bodyfriend Healthcare aims for "all-in-one" health functional foods that can manage modern people's complex health concerns at once by using individually recognized ingredients and functional ingredients recognized by the Ministery of Food and Drug Safety. The focus is on reducing the hassle of taking multiple products by function and increasing trust in the products through functional ingredients.
Bodyfriend will also expand its product lineup. It plans to sequentially release "Sleep Puk Ashwagandha," "Eye Jaeng Lutein Plus Gummies," and "Vitality Bbum Multivitamin & Immune Gummies," building a total of six product lines.
Sales channels will center on Bodyfriend's official online mall and membership application. The company plans to later prepare customized curation based on customers' lifestyles and health interests and expand the business with a health management subscription program that links massage programs of healthcare robots with health functional foods.
