Jin Air(272450) said on the 7th that it held a new launch ceremony at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 to mark the launch of the Incheon–Kobe route.
Jin Air's Incheon–Kobe route will operate once daily starting today. A 189-seat B737 aircraft will be deployed on the route.
The outbound flight departs Incheon Airport at 1:30 p.m., and the return flight departs Kobe at 4:30 p.m. Flight time for both is about two hours.
Until now, travelers going to Kobe to visit tourist spots such as Kitano Ijinkan or golf courses, or to enjoy foods such as Kobe-gyu (beef), had to get off in Osaka and transfer by bus or train for more than an hour.
Jin Air expects the new service to eliminate the inconvenience of travelers to Kobe having to transfer to trains or buses in Osaka.
Jin Air will include a "15 kg free checked baggage" benefit in all fares on the Incheon–Kobe route so travelers with lots of luggage, such as golf bags, can enjoy their trips without burden.
At the event, key executives and employees presented congratulatory bouquets to the crew operating the inaugural flight and took commemorative photos.
A Jin Air official said, "We will continue to offer customers special travel experiences with Jin Air's differentiated routes and safe service."
