Renault Korea said on the 3rd that it loaded the first export batch of the midsize crossover "Filante" at Masan Port's Pier 4 on the 31st. The shipment totals 220 units and will be sold in Latin America.
With this, Renault Korea's export lineup has expanded to three models in total, adding to the existing "Arkana" and "Grand Koleos." On the same day, 418 Arkana units and 209 Grand Koleos units were also loaded onto a vessel bound for Latin America.
Renault Korea sees the Filante shipment as expanding its global sales models, further strengthening the Busan plant's production competitiveness and export capabilities.
A Renault Korea official said, "Filante will take on an expanded role as Renault's global flagship model," adding, "We plan to continue increasing global sales of key models produced at the Busan plant to strengthen brand competitiveness in overseas markets."
