Audi unveiled the brand's first full-size sport-utility vehicle (SUV), the "Audi Q9," on the 29th. It is slated to launch in Korea as well, but the timing is undecided. An Audi Korea official said, "We plan to introduce it domestically as soon as possible."
The Audi Q9 is the top model in the SUV lineup, featuring a bold and confident design. Its upright body proportions, long silhouette, and wide stance project a strong yet elegant image. The front end reinterprets Audi's signature singleframe design in a modern way, and the rear features the world's first curved organic light-emitting diode (OLED) taillights.
Inside, the standard seven-seat layout provides generous interior space. Choosing a six-seat configuration allows for an even airier feel and a premium ride experience. It supports independent power seats in the second row, and for the first time for the brand, automatic doors are applied. It is also notable for having the largest panoramic sunroof in Audi's history.
The Audi Q9's digital user experience has also been further improved. It offers an infotainment system built around a panoramic display, a natural-language voice assistant, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based information services.
Gernot Döllner, chair of the board of management at Audi AG, said, "Going forward, 'Vorsprung durch Technik' will be defined even more by the in-vehicle experience," adding, "As the new portfolio flagship, the Audi Q9 embodies this vision and clearly shows the direction the brand will take."
