HJ Shipbuilding & Construction acquired the Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust Co. (KOREIT) women's professional golf team and launched the "HJ Shipbuilding & Construction golf team." HJ Shipbuilding & Construction plans to raise brand awareness through operating the golf team.
HJ Shipbuilding & Construction held a launch ceremony for the HJ Shipbuilding & Construction golf team, made up of KLPGA (Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association) players, at its Namyeong-dong headquarters in Seoul on the 24th.
The roster consists of five players: KLPGA members Park Ji-young, Hong Jeong-min, and Cho A-yeon, and Kim Min-seo and Park Seo-jin, who compete on the second-tier tour.
HJ Shipbuilding & Construction will operate the remainder of this season with the five founding members. The players will compete wearing the HJ Shipbuilding & Construction logo at major domestic and international tournaments, including the first event of the second half, the Aurora World Championship.
HJ Shipbuilding & Construction is moving in earnest into sports marketing through the acquisition of the golf team.
HJ Shipbuilding & Construction said, "This KLPGA golf team acquisition is a strategic investment that both enhances corporate image and advances ESG activities," and added, "Going forward, we will organically link sports marketing, ESG activities, and community contribution programs to raise both HJ Shipbuilding & Construction's unique brand value and social value."
