Daehan Shipbuilding won two additional Suezmax crude oil carriers, raising this year's cumulative orders to $1.7 billion.
According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 27th, Daehan Shipbuilding said it won an order from a Europe-based shipping company for two Suezmax crude oil carriers worth a total of 271.3 billion won.
The vessels are scheduled for delivery in Dec. 2029.
Daehan Shipbuilding's annual order intake so far this year is about 2.25 trillion won, about 1.6 times its annual target of $1.03 billion.
The order backlog stands at 36 ships, and Daehan Shipbuilding has secured construction workload through the end of 2029.
Meanwhile, in May, Daehan Shipbuilding also won an order from an Oceania-based shipping company for two Suezmax crude oil carriers worth 282.8 billion won.
