Machine tool corporations DN Solutions said on the 20th that it launched the PUMA VTR 1620 MC, a vertical turning center for multi-tasking that can boost machining productivity for aircraft hard-to-cut materials (materials that are difficult to machine).
The company said the VTR 1620 MC is optimized for machining aerospace hard-to-cut materials such as titanium and nickel-based superalloys, based on strong rotational force (high torque), high structural rigidity (high rigidity), and thermal stability.
The VTR 1620 MC applies a 140-bar (pressure unit) high-pressure cutting fluid injection solution (TTC·Through Tool Coolant). The cutting fluid sprayed at high pressure creates a smooth machined surface.
DN Solutions said, "The VTR 1620 MC and the large-capacity tool magazine will be the optimal solution to boost productivity, based on diverse tool operation capability and multi-tasking performance."
