Jeju Air(089590) said on the 20th that it introduced an electronic flight planning solution. Jeju Air expects to improve the work efficiency of flight crew members and minimize paper use.
Jeju Air will convert flight plan documents that flight crew members need to check and fill out before and after flights and during aircraft operations from existing paper documents to tablet-based electronic documents with the electronic flight planning solution.
Through this, it will accumulate various operational data for systematic management and use it for more thorough operational safety management and fuel efficiency analysis. It also expects to save about 5 million sheets of A4 paper annually.
The introduction of this solution is part of the artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation being pursued this year. Jeju Air also built an AI maintenance system and an AI dangerous goods guidance program (JRAG) this year.
In addition, to improve passenger convenience, it launched a waitlist reservation service and is expanding digital-based check-in services while continuing to push digital innovation.
A Jeju Air official said, "By actively using AI and digital technology, we will enhance operational safety, work efficiency, and customer convenience to become a safer and more efficient airline
