Hanjin said on the 14th that at the Dongseoul Hub in Jangji-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, a subcontractor employee was found collapsed while performing work duties and died during treatment.
Hanjin disclosed that at Building B of the Dongseoul Hub, a subcontractor employee was found collapsed while moving goods, was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state, and died during treatment. The cause of death has not yet been identified.
Hanjin suspended work at the site. Police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) are expected to conduct on-site checks and determine the detailed cause.
Hanjin said it is unclear as of the disclosure date whether the incident falls under a serious accident under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and it will issue a corrective disclosure if there are changes based on the findings of the relevant authorities.
