The all-electric lineup from BMW Group Korea will receive purchase subsidies ranging from at least 1.91 million won to as much as 4 million won.
According to BMW Group Korea on the 14th, starting this month, "the all-electric MINI Aceman E" and "the all-electric MINI Aceman SE" will receive 4 million won in purchase subsidies. That is the highest level among imported premium electric vehicles. "The all-electric MINI Cooper SE" will also receive 3.96 million won.
In addition, "the new BMW iX3 50 xDrive" will receive 2.75 million won, and "the BMW i5 eDrive40" will receive 2.62 million won. "The BMW iX1 xDrive30" and "the all-electric MINI JCW" will receive 1.92 million won and 1.91 million won, respectively.
The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment announced the results of the "evaluation to select electric vehicle supply program operators" at the end of last month and finalized the second-half purchase subsidies. This evaluation comprehensively reviewed not only electric vehicles' efficiency and single-charge range, but also battery efficiency and environmental performance, contributions to charging infrastructure deployment, and the level of the manufacturer's after-sales service (AS) network.
A BMW Group official said, "Under strict standards, BMW and MINI's key electric models received excellent evaluations across all items, once again proving unrivaled competitiveness in the imported EV market," adding, "This reflects both BMW Group's electrification technology and the investments BMW Group Korea has continuously made to improve Korea's EV operating environment."
BMW Group Korea has installed a total of 3,030 EV chargers nationwide from the end of 2022 to the present. Last month, it also installed the nation's first public "400 kW ultra-fast charger," continuing investments to strengthen the convenience of EV operation.
A BMW Group Korea official said, "We will continue investing to advance the EV ecosystem and provide differentiated premium electrified experiences to domestic customers."
