Doosan Enerbility said on the 6th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for commemorating B-EYES overseas nuclear power plant entry and cooperation at Createch's Ulsan plant, an engineering company in the vibration and noise field.
B-EYES is a monitoring system that measures in real time the current, temperature, vibration, and wear of brushes, components that deliver current to a generator's rotor shaft, to detect abnormalities early and prevent equipment accidents. With unmanned and automated continuous monitoring, it helps improve generator operational reliability and equipment safety compared with traditional manual inspections.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to detail the production, maintenance, after-sales management, and technology cooperation framework for B-EYES, while also establishing a foundation for long-term supply and service cooperation.
Recently, Doosan Enerbility decided to supply B-EYES for the generator replacement project at the Temelín nuclear power plant Units 1 and 2 in the Czech Republic. Based on this supply record, Doosan Enerbility plans to expand the business to various domestic and overseas power plants, including nuclear and thermal power plants.
Son Seung-woo, head of the Power Service BG at Doosan Enerbility, said, "We expect this agreement to serve as an opportunity to kick off the commercialization of generator diagnostic technology developed with domestic partner corporations," and added, "We will prove our technological competitiveness through the Temelín nuclear power plant project and expand our generator diagnostics and service solutions business into the global market, including domestic power producers."
