Chinese electric vehicle brand Zeekr said on the 6th that domestic preorders for its midsize electric sport-utility vehicle (SUV), the 7X, topped 1,000 within a month of opening.
The 7X comes in three trims: Pro (RWD), Max (RWD), and Ultra (AWD). The set prices are ▲52.99 million won ▲59.99 million won ▲69.99 million won, respectively.
The Ultra trim accounted for the highest share of preorders. The 7X Ultra trim delivers a maximum output of 645 horsepower and peak torque of 72.4 kg·m with two electric motors. Under the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment's standard combined certification at room temperature, it can travel 440 km on a single charge.
The second is the Max trim. It is equipped with the same 100 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery as the Ultra trim. Based on a rear-wheel electric motor, it produces a maximum output of 421 horsepower and peak torque of 45 kg·m. Under the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment's standard combined certification at room temperature, it can travel 483 km on a single charge.
The last is the Pro trim. It is equipped with Zeekr's self-developed 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) "Golden Battery" and the same rear single motor as the Max trim.
Zeekr began 7X preorders on the 5th of last month at nine stores nationwide, including Seoul (Gangnam, Seocho, Gangseo), the Gyeonggi region (Pangyo, Ilsan, Incheon, Suwon), the Chungcheong region (Daejeon), and the Gyeongsang region (Busan).
Zeekr is offering special benefits by trim through the 15th. For the Pro trim, the package option that includes first-row massage and ventilated seats is discounted. For the Max and Ultra trims, benefits include free cold-and-warm refrigerator options.
A Zeekr Korea official said, "In the second half, we will work to enable more people to experience Zeekr's brand and products through marketing activities that broaden our contact points with customers."
