HD Hyundai Electric has signed a large-scale supply contract with global big tech corporations.
HD Hyundai Electric said on the 2nd that it recently signed a master agreement with global big tech corporations for the long-term supply of power distribution equipment and power equipment worth up to 1.1212 trillion won. By product, the contract amounts are 553.9 billion won for power distribution equipment and 567.3 billion won for power equipment.
Actual orders under this master agreement will be placed in phases in line with data center construction schedules. HD Hyundai Electric plans to deliver related products sequentially through 2028 to data centers the client is building in North America.
The contract is significant in that HD Hyundai Electric will supply the core power infrastructure required for operating large-scale data centers as a package that combines power distribution equipment and power equipment.
Supplying power distribution equipment and power equipment together can improve design consistency across the power infrastructure and reduce risks that may arise in delivery time, quality, and after-sales service management. The ability to supply in packages is cited as a competitive strength of HD Hyundai Electric, which has a product portfolio spanning the entire power value chain.
An HD Hyundai Electric official said, "This contract meets the stringent data center quality standards of global big tech corporations and reflects recognition of HD Hyundai Electric's competitiveness in power distribution equipment and power equipment," adding, "We will continue to expand customized package supplies that encompass a variety of product lines and steadily strengthen our position in the data center power infrastructure market."
