Global agricultural machinery specialist TYM Co. said on the 2nd it received the "Amber Heart Award" from Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in recognition of its continued humanitarian aid for Ukraine's postwar recovery and the rebuilding of agricultural infrastructure.
The awards ceremony was hosted by Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, who is visiting Korea, attended in person and expressed gratitude for TYM Co.'s continued support.
The Amber Heart Award is based on a 50-million-year-old piece of amber found in Bucha, Ukraine, during the period of Russian occupation, and embodies resilience that does not lose hope amid hardship, solidarity in the international community, and gratitude. It has been awarded to key figures and organizations from around the world who contributed to overcoming the Ukraine crisis, and among domestic corporations, TYM Co. was named as a recipient.
Since 2022, when the Russia-Ukraine war broke out, TYM Co. has provided steady support beginning with cash assistance and continuing with agricultural machinery such as tractors and loaders. The equipment supplied is being used to rebuild the agricultural base and restore infrastructure in areas with heavy war damage, including Sumy in the northeast.
TYM Co. has not stopped at one-off aid but has continued to supply equipment needed to restore the agricultural production base, building trust with the Ukrainian government and local communities, and through this award, its efforts to practice global ESG management and the social responsibility of corporations have been recognized.
Kim Hee-yong, chair of TYM Co., said, "We have continued humanitarian support in the hope that Ukraine will regain a peaceful daily life as soon as possible," adding, "We will continue to lend a steady hand where help is needed and stand with the international community."
