Korea SMEs & Startups Distribution & Marketing Agency said on the 2nd it will conduct special safety inspections of facilities to prepare for natural disasters such as heavy rain and typhoons in the summer.
The inspections will run from this morning through the 7th to provide a safe work environment and shopping environment. The agency will work with its subsidiary Hanyuwon Partners, which manages the facilities, to carry out the inspections.
The inspections will target major facilities with a high risk of summer disasters. They will examine interior and exterior drainage facilities to prepare for heavy rain, electrical equipment to prevent electric shock accidents, rooftop communication facilities for typhoon preparedness, and the anchoring of various facilities. The agency also plans to conduct safety checks of key facilities inside the department store, including elevators used by customers.
Chief Executive Lee Tae-sik of Hanyuwon said, "As a public institution, we decided to carry out special summer safety inspections to take the lead in preventing accidents," and added, "We will continue proactive, regular preventive activities to protect customers and employees from accidents."
