Hanwha Aerospace said it increased its equity in Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to 11.21%.
Hanwha Aerospace disclosed on the 1st that its Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) equity rose to 11.21% (10,936,023 shares) as of June 30 from 10.15% (9,896,023 shares).
According to the filing, the latest purchase raised Hanwha Aerospace's KAI equity to 8.67%. Hanwha Systems and Hanwha Aerospace USA, which are special affiliates of Hanwha Aerospace, hold 1.53% and 1.01%, respectively, bringing the three companies' combined KAI equity to 11.21%.
The equity acquired this time was bought on the market from June 24 to 30, and about 150 billion won in acquisition funds was raised from internal cash.
Hanwha said on the 16th of last month that it raised its KAI equity to 9.04%, surpassing the National Pension Service to become the No. 2 shareholder after the Export-Import Bank of Korea (26.41%).
