Seoul Business Agency (SBA) launched a premium community program for CEOs of growth corporations entering the scale-up stage, "SBA Founders Round," to promote inter-corporation cooperation and support growth.
SBA said on the 1st that it held the first session of the "SBA Founders Round" on the 25th at the Seoul Startup Hub Gangnam Scale-up Center for CEOs and executives of growth corporations. SBA Founders Round was designed as a growth platform that goes beyond a simple education program, where corporations at similar growth stages share experiences and challenges and create practical collaboration opportunities.
The program name "Round" signifies a space where horizontal and free discussion takes place, like a roundtable, while also evoking the "series round" in fundraising, symbolizing the dynamism of scale-up corporations preparing for the next growth stage and entry into global markets.
About 40 people attended the event, including CEO Kim Hyun-woo of SBA and CEO Kim Dong-hwan of SamproTV, as well as CEOs and executives of promising startups and innovative corporations based in Seoul. The event proceeded in the order of an opening session, keynote lecture, Q&A, and round networking.
The first keynote lecture was delivered by Professor Shin In-sik of the KAIST School of Computing (Fluiz CEO) on the topic, "In the era of AI agents, how are corporate growth strategies changing?" Shin presented corporate growth strategies and ways to secure competitiveness amid the spread of AI agent technology and shared views with participants.
In the subsequent networking session, representatives of participating corporations shared their respective growth processes and management tasks and discussed possibilities for collaboration.
CEO Kim Hyun-woo said, "SBA Founders Round is SBA's premium CEO community that explores the next stage of corporate growth and seeks new opportunities amid a rapidly changing business environment," adding, "We will expand practical support and opportunities for consolidation so that corporations can continue to grow."
SBA Founders Round will run a total of seven times this year. It will address core agendas by growth stage for scale-up corporations, including AI innovation, organization and leadership, global expansion, business scale-up, policy utilization, and exit (EXIT) strategies. At the second session on the 2nd, former KT Executive Vice President Shin Soo-jung will give a lecture on the topic, "Growth, how far is it possible, and what systems and leadership are needed as growth progresses?"
