K-beauty wellness corporations "L&K Wellness" said on the 30th that it has developed a noninvasive facial lifting technology that uses the face's structural support system, the "retaining ligament," and filed related patents.
The newly filed "facial retaining ligament management method for skin beauty" is an anti-aging technology that departs from conventional skin care focused on improving blood circulation or relaxing muscles, and instead anatomically analyzes the retaining ligaments that support the face and manages them with a standardized protocol.
The company classified facial retaining ligaments into nine zones and, based on this, established a five-step management protocol for the forehead, eye area, cheeks, jawline, and integrated lifting. It also said it reduced procedure variance by standardizing the appropriate pressure that can induce collagen synthesis while minimizing skin damage, the management time for each area, and precise vibration stimulation.
According to L&K Wellness, in a clinical trial of 30 adult women, applying the technology resulted in an average 1 cm reduction in jawline circumference and an average 3.3-degree increase in the mouth corner angle after two weeks, confirming improvements in facial contours.
Kim Ji-ha, CEO of L&K Wellness, said, "This technology strengthens the body's support structure without surgery to provide sustained lifting effects," and added, "We quantified all protocols to make them easy to use as a procedure manual and training system."
